How it works
Layout checked against Microsoft Word
Word to PDF is regression-tested on Word-authored documents and compared with Word’s own PDF output — page count, page sizes, line breaks and text position. Fonts the server doesn’t have are replaced by substitutes chosen to take the same space, so pagination usually holds even though letter shapes differ.
Redaction that removes content
The editor’s Redact tool deletes the text, image pixels and drawings under the box from the exported file — it can’t be selected, copied or recovered from the PDF. Add text, images and signatures, and reorder, rotate, delete or insert pages.
Files are deleted after each request
Each upload is processed in its own temporary, owner-only workspace in server memory, which is deleted as soon as the response is sent — or, if the service ever crashes mid-request, when it restarts. No accounts, no database, no copies kept.
Open-source engines
Conversion and editing run on LibreOffice, MuPDF and pdf2docx on this server. No third-party conversion service ever receives your documents.
